Denza Z9GT arrives in Hong Kong at HK$998,000: charging conditions and local specifications matter
The Hong Kong event took place on October 23, followed by mainland reporting on October 25. Output and charging times are manufacturer claims for the local version, not universal specifications.
Media-based report · see original reporting below

Key points
- Hong Kong pricing is HK$998,000; no mainland on-road price is inferred.
- The event was on October 23, distinct from the October 25 report date.
- Charging claims require compatible equipment and specified conditions, not any public charger.
Reported details
The Denza Z9GT has entered Hong Kong with a published price of HK$998,000. IT Home reporter Luyuan’s October 25 report at 22:15 relays BYD’s announcement; local e-zone reporter Lee Siu Shing’s October 23 article at 22:00 explicitly places the launch on October 23. The reporting date and event date are separate: October 25 must not be presented as another launch.
Hong Kong reporting describes a three-motor, all-wheel-drive battery-electric version, with manufacturer claims of 850 kW and 0–100 km/h in 2.7 seconds. Local material gives a 122.49 kWh second-generation Blade Battery and up to 701 km on the NEDC cycle. These are published figures for a particular market and test procedure, not our measurements or directly comparable CLTC figures from other mainland versions.
For charging, e-zone relays manufacturer times of five minutes from 10% to 70% and nine minutes from 10% to 97% under specified flash-charging conditions. They do not describe performance at every public charger. Official Hong Kong dealer Harmony Auto also lists active rear steering, crab movement, parking assistance and DiSus-A air suspension. Marketing descriptions are not independent handling tests or evidence of driverless capability.
Editorial interpretation
Editorial view: practical questions for Hong Kong buyers include whether the car fits their usual parking spaces and whether compatible charging is available along daily routes. Peak output and the fastest charging claim alone cannot establish running costs. The precise tax treatment, offer eligibility, delivery arrangements and usable flash-charging sites need local written quotations and service information; currency conversion is not used here to imply a like-for-like cross-market price gap.
