Reported details
Leapmotor announced on October 27 that an OTA for 2026 C-series vehicles had begun rolling out during October. IT Home lists the eligible vehicles as the 2026 C10 except the 530 Comfort, every 2026 C11, and the 2026 C16 except the six-seat 580 Premium and 200 Premium. Owners therefore need to identify the exact version instead of assuming every 2026 C-series car receives the same package at once.
The driver-assistance changes have hardware gates. Vehicles equipped with lidar gain parking-to-parking assistance; Qualcomm 8295-equipped versions gain parking assistance and Tencent cloud gaming; cars with AR-HUD gain lyric and incoming-call displays. These remain driver-assistance functions: the driver must monitor the road and be ready to take control.
Cabin and ownership functions are broader. The package adds voiceprint protection that responds only to enrolled voices, a tyre-pressure card in split-screen mode, battery heating or cooling before fast charging, long-offline vehicle detection, a children’s space on the rear screen, a Dolby Atmos section, car-wash mode and automatic fan reduction during calls. Leapmotor also lists improvements to memory-parking route expansion, straight-line summon radar-wall display, rear-screen QQ Music, three-level steering-wheel heating and sentry-mode recognition.
A separate batch announced on October 12 mainly covered 2024 C01, C10, C11 and C16 vehicles, plus the 2026 C10 530 Comfort and the two six-seat C16 Premium versions excluded here. Reading the two scopes together explains the exclusions and helps owners avoid mixing feature lists from different rollout batches.
Editorial interpretation
The useful part of this release is the mapping between functions, versions and hardware. Lidar, the 8295 chip, AR-HUD and a rear screen each act as eligibility gates, so two cars in the same model family may finish the update with different functions. Buyers should treat the OTA list as an extension of the trim sheet; owners should check the exact model year and trim before looking for the update.
What it means
Leapmotor’s C10, C11 and C16 are major SUVs in its C-series range, and each has a current product page on the official website. The image here comes from the official 2026 C16 page and is only a same-generation model reference, not an OTA screen or a representation of the C10 or C11.
