Key points
- Autohome reporter Zhou Yi reported on November 2 that Li Auto product head Tang Jing said the MEGA’s Samsung 29-inch 6K front-cabin OLED screen faced a temporary shortage, with supply expected to recover around year-end. The affected vehicles are scheduled for production from November 10 to December 17, for orders locked between September 11 at 17:06 and October 26 at 09:52. This does not cover every MEGA order.
- Li Auto plans to deliver these vehicles with the same-size 6K LCD screen from the L9 Livis, then contact owners in delivery order from March 1, 2027 for free original OLED replacements. It also promises a three-year service package covering unlimited in-car data, maintenance pickup and return, and air-conditioning filter maintenance. Replacement screens are promised a five-year or 100,000-km warranty. Detailed terms will be sent through the Li Auto app.
- Editorial analysis: initial delivery and restoration of the OLED screen are separate milestones. Matching software and interaction, and damage-free quick replacement, are manufacturer commitments. They do not establish identical LCD and OLED image quality or replacement of every vehicle on March 1. Owners should check their order notice, appointment sequence, service-package eligibility and warranty start rules.
