Reported details

WEY unveiled the second-generation Lanshan on October 27. Compared with the first generation’s streamlined family-SUV shape, it adopts a boxy body, round lights and external spare wheel. A debut is not a launch: media report a planned launch this year, with price unannounced.

IT Home and Autohome report that the five-seat version measures 5,140 mm long and the six-seat version 5,300 mm; both are 2,050 mm wide and 1,960 mm high with a 3,010 mm wheelbase. The extra 160 mm does not by itself establish third-row or cargo space.

The plug-in hybrid combines a 2.0-litre turbo engine with front and rear electric motors. Filings cited by both outlets list 53.6 and 64.7 kWh batteries and 220 and 270 km WLTC electric range respectively. Final trim assignments and real-world consumption remain unannounced.

Reports also describe dual-chamber air suspension, a rear differential lock and rear-wheel steering, but do not establish that every trim receives them. WEY previously opened enquiries; its promotional image shows the model, not the debut event.

Editorial interpretation

Buyers still need prices, equipment and delivery timing for each seating layout. WLTC ratings permit comparisons under the same test cycle, not predictions of highway, winter or fully loaded range.

What it means

Lanshan is a plug-in hybrid SUV from Great Wall Motor’s WEY brand. The second generation shares its name with the current car but changes body style and length choices.
