Key points

  • China pre-sales opened on October 15, 2026.
  • Five versions are reported at RMB 169,800–191,800.
  • October 29 is the planned launch, not a confirmed delivery date.

Reported details

XPENG opened China pre-sales for its five-seat MONA L05 SUV on October 15, according to Gasgoo and IT Home. The reported price band is RMB 169,800–191,800, with battery-electric and range-extended versions. Both outlets give October 29 as the planned launch date.

IT Home lists the BEV 535 Max at RMB 169,800, 635 Max at RMB 179,800 and 635 Ultra SE at RMB 191,800. The EREV 1310 Max and 1310 Ultra SE are RMB 169,800 and RMB 181,800 respectively. These are Chinese pre-sale figures, not final launch prices.

Sina also reports the two entry versions at the same price. These reports concern the same product presentation and should not be counted as independent vehicle tests. Detailed range figures differ across the reviewed reports, so we are withholding a consolidated specification table pending a directly verified manufacturer version sheet.

Editorial interpretation

For buyers, the useful starting point is their charging routine. Our interpretation is that matching entry prices makes it worth comparing the two powertrains against the same household budget. Ask how often the car can charge at home, how frequent long trips are and what happens when charging is unavailable; the badge alone does not answer those questions.

A higher trim also deserves a separate equipment comparison. Before paying a deposit, request the exact order specification and written terms for refunds, options and software availability. A pre-sale headline does not establish the final on-road cost or when a particular customer will receive a car.

For overseas readers, this China announcement is a research lead rather than a local buying offer. Wait for a named market, homologated specification, local pricing and after-sales terms. Our next update should check what actually changes at launch; it should not turn the announced date into a completed milestone.

What it means

Media-attributed reporting, followed by editorial buying questions. Range discrepancies remain unresolved; no local overseas sale or customer delivery is confirmed. The official G9L photograph is a brand reference and does not depict MONA L05.
