Luxeed RX deliveries begin: what separates Max and Ultra beyond the 4–6-week estimate
First owners received cars in Shanghai on October 25. Battery, drivetrain and driver-assistance hardware still need a trim-by-trim comparison.
Media-based report · see original reporting below

Key points
- October 25 marks first deliveries, not another launch.
- Production follows locked-order sequence; 4–6 weeks is an estimate.
- Six trims cost RMB 259,800–389,800, with different assistance hardware.
Reported details
The Luxeed RX has moved from launch to customer handovers. IT Home reporter Guilong reported on October 25 that shipments were under way, with a first-owner event at Shanghai International Circuit and nationwide deliveries starting the same day. September 28 was the launch date, not this delivery event.
The report attributed to the company a plan to schedule production and deliveries in locked-order sequence, with an estimated wait of 4–6 weeks. That is not a uniform handover guarantee for every region, configuration or order.
HIMA’s configuration table lists six trims at RMB 259,800–389,800. Max and Max Long Range use 81 and 100 kWh batteries, rated at 672 and 822 km CLTC. Ultra and Ultra Long Range use the same respective capacities, rated at 702 and 852 km. Ultra AWD and Ultra+ combine a 100 kWh battery with dual-motor AWD and ratings of 753 and 700 km. The 852 km figure is not range for the whole line-up.
Assistance hardware differs too: the two Max trims have ADS 5 Enhanced and one shared-optical-path cabin lidar; the four Ultra-family trims have ADS 5 Advanced and four lidars. Hardware and an architecture described as L3-oriented do not establish permission for customers to use L3 automation without driver responsibility.
Editorial interpretation
Editorial view: existing buyers now have a delivery programme to follow. Prospective buyers should choose drivetrain, battery and assistance version before comparing contracts, not combine the lowest price, longest range and fullest equipment into one imaginary trim. The image is an official model reference, not event photography. Independently verified delivery volumes and trim-level waiting times remain unavailable.
What it means
The RX is a battery-electric HIMA model. Delivery reporting is attributed to IT Home; prices, batteries, drivetrains and CLTC ratings were checked against the official table. No driving or range test was conducted.
