Key points
- 230 MAX and 230 MAX lidar guide prices are RMB 119,900 and 129,900.
- Their limited-time trade-in prices are RMB 116,900 and 126,900, not unconditional prices.
- Both range-extender trims quote 230 km electric CLTC range, not the BEV’s total range.
Reported details
Chery added a range-extender powertrain to the Fulwin A9 on October 26. IT Home’s 13:21 launch report lists 230km Max and 230km Max lidar versions; the official model page now lists two Golden Range Extender trims at guide prices of RMB 119,900 and 129,900. Existing battery-electric A9 versions have not become range-extenders: powertrain identification comes first.
The RMB 116,900 headline has conditions. The website explicitly labels RMB 116,900 and 126,900 as limited-time trade-in prices, each RMB 3,000 below its guide price. This is not an automatic cash discount for every buyer. Trade-in eligibility, invoicing and delivery deadlines, and compatibility with local subsidies need itemised written dealer terms. National or local subsidies are not pre-deducted from our stated prices.
The shared energy figures are a 28.3 kWh battery, 230 km electric CLTC range and an 82 kW peak range-extender engine, according to the launch report. The 230 km figure is electric distance on a specified cycle, not combined full-tank range or our own measurement. Cold weather, motorway use, load and charging conditions affect actual operation.
Equipment needs a trim check. The official page lists automatic parking and ventilated, heated front seats for 230 MAX. The lidar version additionally names Falcon driver assistance, a high-performance 3 nm chip and front-seat massage. Lidar in line-up advertising does not establish its presence on the RMB 119,900 base trim; driver assistance does not authorise unattended driving.
Editorial interpretation
Editorial view: the useful change is an alternative energy-replenishment option, not merely another starting price. Buyers with reliable charging should assess the 230 km CLTC figure against daily travel; frequent long-distance users still need depleted-battery consumption and route charging information. Whether the RMB 10,000 trim step is worthwhile depends on the specified assistance and comfort equipment, not a presumption that lidar guarantees safety.
What it means
Launch date, battery and electric range are attributed to IT Home; prices and both range-extender trims were checked directly on the Fulwin website. The official same-generation A9 promotional reference is not event photography or proof of powertrain or universal equipment. No independent test was conducted.
