Key points

  • GAC Toyota recalls bZ3X and bZ7 for three separate defects
  • Different production windows and remedies require a VIN-specific check.
  • Editorial analysis: the campaigns concern different hardware or software. Nut replacement is not an OTA repair, nor is every bZ vehicle affected. Separately stated counts should not automatically be treated as a unique-owner total. Owners should ask an authorised dealer to check their VIN and repair arrangements; the software installation method, appointment and completion status need checking per vehicle, rather than assuming one update resolves every campaign.

Reported details

Autohome’s Qin Chao reported on November 4 that GAC Toyota filed three recalls, all effective immediately. S2026M0124V covers 100,175 bZ3X vehicles built February 27, 2025–March 26, 2026. Insufficient design consideration for front suspension stabiliser-link fastening nuts may leave inadequate axial force. Nuts may loosen and make noise, or detach in extreme cases, affecting stability. Improved nuts will be fitted free.

S2026M0125V covers 18,130 bZ7 vehicles built October 28, 2025–August 3, 2026. With Comfort Stop enabled, software may restrict braking output under specific low-speed conditions, lengthening braking distance and increasing collision risk. The function’s control software will be upgraded free.

S2026M0126V covers 2,955 bZ7 vehicles built March 10–May 15, 2026. An anomaly during front recognition camera OTA updating may lead to unintended steering-wheel movement when integrated cruise assistance is activated. Its control software will be upgraded free. GAC Toyota will notify affected owners through its app, telephone and other channels.
